Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 20, 2026

Midicast is made by Probably Apps LLC (“we,” “us”), the data controller for any personal data described here. Midicast is built to keep your music yours: we do not run accounts, we do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not embed advertising or analytics SDKs.

What Midicast stores

Your recorded sessions and MIDI events are stored locally on your device. If you have iCloud enabled, Midicast syncs that data through your own private iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit. This data lives on your device and in your personal iCloud account — we never receive or store your recordings on our own servers.

Device access

Midicast uses MIDI and Bluetooth access only to connect to your keyboard and capture the notes you play. It does not access your contacts, photos, location, or microphone.

Third parties we share data with

Midicast does not include analytics or advertising frameworks. Two service providers necessarily receive limited data so the app can function:

We share data with these providers only as needed to operate Midicast, and we require that any third party who receives your data provide the same or equal protection of that data as described in this policy.

Data retention & deletion

Delete individual sessions any time in the app. Deleting the app removes its local data from that device. iCloud data is controlled through your Apple ID (Settings → iCloud), where you can also disable sync. Subscription records held by Apple and RevenueCat are retained under their policies; you may email us to request deletion of the subscription data we control, subject to records we must keep for legal or accounting purposes.

International users & data transfers

Probably Apps LLC is based in the United States, and our providers (Apple, RevenueCat) process data in the United States. If you use Midicast from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or elsewhere, the limited data described above is transferred to and processed in the United States. These transfers rely on the data-processing agreements and Standard Contractual Clauses maintained by Apple and RevenueCat.

Your privacy rights

Because Midicast stores your recordings on your own device and in your own iCloud account, you remain in direct control of that data. For the limited subscription data we process, our legal basis is the performance of our agreement with you (providing Midicast Premium).

If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority. If you are a California resident, you have the right to know, delete, and correct your personal information and to opt out of its sale or sharing — and we confirm we do not sell or share your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@midicast.app.

Children

Midicast is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country) and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Midicast evolves. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date at the top of this page.
